Erythema Nodosum? Suspected Illness Decides to Drop-In on Life

Image
I wake up one day in my bed wondering randomly, “Okay what is today going to have in store for me?” Instinctively, I must have just known something was wrong. It was a Thursday.    I was in my backyard cleaning up pine, branches, trimmed up the lilacs and raked the yard. Like any other day I do any yard work, I took my allergy medicine.    I was okay with the exception of the regular hot shower needed afterword. Friday progressed as any other day but I started to feel achy, more than normal.    Maybe it was the cold from Autumn setting in.     Who knows?!    Get some rest and maybe Saturday will be better. When my days turned excruciating began when standing on my feet.    When a person lives daily with extreme amounts of pain, pain really doesn’t have very many levels of severity anymore.    But oh my knees. They just hurt but I just figured maybe because of the cold. Picture for effect “erythem...

Kelley Investigations Expose Passing the Buck in Domestic Violence

Thanksgiving is supposed to be a time of year and admittedly every person needs a moment to decompress and reflect on forward momentum.  I have allowed some time for chatter to calm to see whether or not the holiday is playing a role in the events that transpire across the bases.  Since that brief period has expired, I continue onward in my little experiment where I will now begin exposing the ugly harsh truths about not just one branch, but all of them.  In some of the most hurtful ways, Bases across the globe are neglecting to care for and protect military family members AND some service members who fall victim.  When predicated to protect the family, bases are now often compelled to give appearance that the family is the problem, for what appears to be a secretive route of possible no-action efforts to conceal what is really happening behind the scenes on bases.  If you are a spouse facing obstacles on bases, my only caution now is to take heed of this caut...

Devin Patrick Kelly: A discharge is not enough- Air Force Fails Everyday for DV Victims

In 2012, at Holloman Air Base in New Mexico, a Service member was stationed since 2010 and assigned to the duty as a Logistics Readiness Group member.  Until 2012, all who knew him assumed he was serving honorably, until he was discovered as having abused his wife and child.  This service member was prosecuted in Court Martial with two counts of assault on his wife and child.  He was later convicted in 2014, two years later, dishonorably discharged and demoted completely to the rank of E-1 from his original rank of an E-7 and stripped of all honors.  Mr. Devin Patrick Kelly was that man.  Most people are looking at this tragic church shooting in Texas as an act of tyranny against a faith.  I see the gross negligence behind the initial story that ever permitted this to happen.  I see the gruesomeness of a mere 12 month sentence that permitted an Intimate Home grown Terrorist to walk loose and free with no remorse for his crimes. The 1968 Gun Control A...

Passing the buck on Military Children's Safety

Image
When it comes to children, we as parents are raised to think up to adulthood that we have a divine right AND duty to protect our children.  When one parent engages in actions against the child, then we have a duty to protect or cooperate with authorities when one has been harmed.  But what do you do when the obstacle in front of you is one thing only: The abuser is a service member so Child Protective Service Agencies don't involve themselves according to their policies, regulations, state laws, or even their go to Handbook of procedures. I have said this before.  Family Advocacy is NOT Child Protection Services or a Law Enforcement Agency.  That simply isn't their duty.  Their duty is to identify and offer assistance services to resolve family conflict, and if necessary find someone meets or doesn't meet criteria for abuse, maltreatment or neglect, with the end intent to seek resources for that military family.  HOWEVER, FAO/FAP was in fact passed t...

Left Abroad Helpless by the Army

We all hear the same cliche stories.  A young woman meets a man in the military and finds her "Officer and a Gentleman" fairy tale.  They will get married, have a couple kids, and be happily ever after.  At least that's what people used to think.  A man ( or woman) in uniform has to be an honorable one.  They would never do anything to hurt you. Imagine you are a woman who has lived this exact tale.  She married the man of her would-be dreams and has children.  One day he has the opportunity of a lifetime to go to Germany for the last stint of his career.  Do something bigger and better "for the family".  She happily sacrifices her job, they sell their home, they do everything to move themselves AND their possessions to the new duty station in Germany.  Wow, that's quite the trip and a bit of culture shock I can imagine. A year goes by and the wife is unable to find employment.  Visas alone cause conflict because they often a...

Child's Birthday Turns to Airman's Sinister Goals or Ulterior Motives?

Image
Attention Readers, you are going to love this one. Closer and Closer we get...just one base, not even everyone else that is a reader or victim. An abuser has caught wind of my blog currently exposing Domestic Violence, stalking and abuse in the military- go figure, right?  What happened? What bothered you more?  Did you see a picture of you violating military law or maybe it was the pictures that I took that show you have been stalking your spouse?  I have tons of pictures and videos even where that came from. Funny, I've been a witness of stalking for months where authorities were refusing to take my reports, but now an abuser gets exposed publicly from a first hand witness, goes into a family court attempting to claim that I am a threat to them in their divorce case and as such mother has been ordered to not leave their county for fear of what I as a witness will come forward with.  HMMMMM... A family court judge willfully concealing knowing a crime exists?...

Fun Pumpkin Patching on a Budget

Image
I was able to have some at home fun on a next to no budget idea with the children. Ingredients for this Project: *Mini Gourds of your choice *Variety of Nail Polish of your choice- PICK ANY COLORS YOU LIKE (Dollar Tree works for this) *A large bowl that is either easy to wash or one you can toss out. *Water- Fill the Bowl just enough to cover the height of the gourd when you dip ...and Nail Polish Acetone for the cleanup after.  It will get messy and sticky I happened to have these items on the shelf already so I only needed a few mini gourds to get started. There is nothing special to this easy fun with the kiddos.  Pick your colors, any at all.  Drizzle the color in any pattern or design in the water you like.  You will dunk the gourd in the water THROUGH the polish and the colors will stick to the gourd on their own.  You can play around with the colors and designs.  Your imagination is the only limit you have...
